Tips for properly ventilating the room

Practice natural ventilation
Airing
and ventilating eliminate humidity due to condensation and the risk of mould
and indoor pollution.
These
have multiple sources.
Among
them, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are contained in coatings ( paint,
wallpaper, carpet, etc.), especially in furniture and cigarette smoke or fumes
from cleaning products. Natural ventilation is very effective in removing
polluted air. Opening the windows makes it possible to sanitize a dwelling by
creating a current of air in all the dwellings.
During
renovation work, it is very important to regularly ventilate the rooms as much
as possible to remove dust from the products and materials used. Also, remember
to leave the furniture packaging boxes outside the house (on the balcony or in
the garden, for example). Finally, assemble your furniture and let it air out
for a few weeks if you have the possibility—time for the formaldehyde contained
in the particleboards to evacuate.
Ventilate the room continuously: the air inlets
For
comfortable natural ventilation in all seasons, it is necessary to have

Generally,
the exterior joinery (windows, patio doors, sliding windows) are equipped in

Opt for point ventilation
Point
ventilation is another technique for cleaning up the room.
This

possible to install controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV). This type of
ventilation works with extractors with motorized fans, which extract pollutants
and thus improve the quality of the indoor air. If the ventilation system is

the extractors are then directly connected to the outside.
For
greater ease of use, note that some models are equipped with automatic controls
or presence detectors. Be careful; some air extractors can be noisy. If you are

Install
controlled mechanical ventilation
The
most efficient solution to aerate and evacuate residual humidity and
pollutants: controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV). This system ensures the
permanent renewal of the air in your home.
There are two types of CMV:
- The
humidity sensitive single flow CMV provides general and permanent ventilation
of the entire house. With this ventilation system, the opening and closing
of vents and air inlets are fully automated. The humidity sensitive single
flow CMV is triggered according to the air renewal needs. The higher the
humidity level in the house, the greater the airflow. Conversely, when the
housing is empty, the flow will be reduced, which will save energy.
- Double flow CMV, the most efficient solution. With a double-flow ventilation system, the air is renewed mechanically by blowing new air into the living rooms and extracting stale air from the bathrooms and the kitchen. The fresh air arrives in the accommodation through the insufflation ducts; it is then diffused by entrances in the living room and the bedrooms. The stale air extracted by the vents of the humid rooms passes through a heat exchanger before being discharged to the outside. The exchanger thus makes it possible to recover up to 90% of the calories of the extracted air to preheat the incoming air, limiting heat loss.
Keep a
space of at least 20 cm between the extraction port of the CMV and an obstacle,
